A softer place to land

21 July 2026

Most wellbeing apps ask a lot of you. A streak to keep. A course to finish. A plan to stay on top of. That is hard on exactly the days you need help most, the days when even opening the app feels like effort.

kakoon is built for that end of the range.

The idea

When anxiety is loud, a long menu is its own kind of pressure. So kakoon keeps the first step small: check in on how you feel, and it suggests one gentle thing to try. Not a program. One thing.

Some days that is a breathing exercise or a grounding practice. Some days it is writing a worry down and looking at it more kindly. And some days doing anything at all is too much, so there is a rest screen that asks nothing of you: a slow, breath-paced pulse, one line to remind you this will pass, and optional sound if it helps.

What it will not do

kakoon is self-help, not therapy, and not a crisis service. It works best alongside real support, not instead of it. If you are in crisis, please reach a local crisis line or emergency services. That matters more than anything in the app.

What we believe about your data

Your reflections are private. kakoon has no ads, no tracking, and nothing is ever sold. You can export everything you have written, or delete all of it, at any time. We would rather earn trust by keeping the app small and honest than by collecting more than it needs.

More soon. For now, be gentle with yourself today.
