Terms of use

The short version. kakoon is a self-help app, not medical care and not a crisis service. What you write stays yours. Be 13 or older, use it kindly, and you can leave and take your data with you whenever you like.

These terms are the agreement between you and Gunjan Maheshwari for using kakoon. By using the app, you agree to them.

kakoon is not medical care

kakoon offers self-help tools: mood check-ins, calming activities, and fidget games. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, it is not therapy, and it is not a crisis or emergency service. Check-in scores are a self-reflection aid, not a diagnosis.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.

Who can use it

You need to be at least 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

Your account

• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• A guest session is anonymous and cannot be signed back into, so logging out of one, or removing the app, loses that data for good. Create an account to keep it.
• You can delete your account and all of its data from Profile at any time.

Your content

Whatever you write in kakoon stays yours. We do not claim ownership of it, sell it, or use it to train models. We store it only so the app can show it back to you. The privacy policy has the detail.

Using kakoon fairly

Please do not use the app for anything unlawful or harmful to others, try to break into or disrupt it, or use the feedback form to send abuse or other people's personal information.

Availability

We offer kakoon as it is. We may change or stop features, and we cannot promise it will always be available or error free. Please do not treat the app as your only record of what you have written. You can export your data any time from Profile.

Limits of responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of kakoon, including decisions you make about your health. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or affects your statutory consumer rights.

Ending use

You can stop using kakoon and delete your account whenever you like. We may end access for accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

Changes and contact
